The Aventador has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The 570S doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.
Both the Aventador and the 570S have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available rear parking sensors.
The Aventador SVJ’s standard 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 197 more horsepower (759 vs. 562) and 88 lbs.-ft. more torque (531 vs. 443) than the 570S’ 3.8 turbo V8. The Aventador Ultimae’s standard 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 207 more horsepower (769 vs. 562) and 88 lbs.-ft. more torque (531 vs. 443) than the 570S’ 3.8 turbo V8.
An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Aventador’s fuel efficiency. The 570S doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.
The Aventador has 4.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the 570S (23.8 vs. 19 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
All wheel drive, available in the Aventador, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The McLaren 570S is not available with all wheel drive.

For better traction, the Aventador has larger tires than the 570S (F:255/30R20 & R:355/25R21 vs. F:225/35R19 & R:285/35R20).
The Aventador’s 255/30R20 front and 355/25R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the 570S’ standard 35 series tires.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Aventador has standard 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. Only 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels are available on the 570S.
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Aventador’s wheelbase is 1.2 inches longer than on the 570S (106.3 inches vs. 105.1 inches).
For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Aventador is 1.8 inches wider in the front and 2.4 inches wider in the rear than on the 570S.
The Aventador handles at 1.05 G’s, while the 570GT pulls only 1.03 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.
The design of the Lamborghini Aventador amounts to more than styling. The Aventador has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .33 Cd. That is lower than the 570S (.35). A more efficient exterior helps the Aventador go faster and keeps the interior quieter. It also helps the Aventador get better fuel mileage.
The Aventador’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The 570S does not have an oil pressure gauge.
In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Aventador has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The 570S doesn’t offer headlight washers.
The Aventador’s power mirror controls are mounted on the door for easy access. The 570S’ power mirror controls are on the dash where they are possibly hidden by the steering wheel and are awkward to manipulate.
To help keep the driver’s hands on the wheel, the Aventador offers optional steering wheel controls for the radio. The 570S doesn’t offer steering wheel audio controls.
