The Lamborghini Aventador has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The F8 doesn’t offer knee airbags.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Aventador’s fuel efficiency. The F8 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Aventador has 3.2 gallons more fuel capacity than the F8 (23.8 vs. 20.6 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

All wheel drive, available in the Aventador, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Ferrari F8 is not available with all wheel drive.

For better traction, the Aventador has larger tires than the F8 (F:255/30R20 & R:355/25R21 vs. F:245/35R20 & R:305/30R20).

The Aventador’s 255/30R20 front and 355/25R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the F8’s standard 35 series front and 30 series rear tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Aventador’s wheelbase is 2 inches longer than on the F8 (106.3 inches vs. 104.3 inches).

The Aventador’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (43% to 57%) than the F8’s (41.5% to 58.5%). This gives the Aventador more stable handling and braking.

The Aventador’s entire steering wheel hub sounds the horn, facilitating hitting the horn in an emergency. The F8 has two small spoke buttons. These buttons can be hard to find and reach in an emergency.

The Aventador’s front power windows open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The F8’s front passenger window doesn’t close automatically.

The Aventador offers optional heated front seats, which keep the driver and front passenger extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated seats aren’t available in the F8.
