The Lamborghini Aventador has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Chiron doesn’t offer knee airbags.

Both the Aventador and the Chiron have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available rear parking sensors.

On the EPA test cycle the Aventador Coupe gets better mileage than the Chiron:

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Aventador’s fuel efficiency. The Chiron doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the Aventador’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. The Chiron doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The Aventador stops much shorter than the Chiron:

Suspension and Handling

For better maneuverability, the Aventador’s turning circle is 8.8 feet tighter than the Chiron’s (41 feet vs. 49.8 feet).

Chassis

The Lamborghini Aventador may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 800 to 850 pounds less than the Bugatti Chiron.

The design of the Lamborghini Aventador amounts to more than styling. The Aventador has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .33 Cd. That is significantly lower than the Chiron (.39). A more efficient exterior helps the Aventador go faster and keeps the interior quieter. It also helps the Aventador get better fuel mileage.

Cargo Capacity

The Aventador has a much larger trunk than the Chiron (5.2 vs. 2 cubic feet).

Ergonomics

The Aventador’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Chiron’s

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Aventador has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Chiron doesn’t offer headlight washers.

Model Availability

The Lamborghini Aventador comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Bugatti Chiron isn’t available as a convertible.
