The Q60 offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The LC doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400 has a standard Around View® Monitor to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The LC only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

Both the Q60 and the LC have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, collision warning systems, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems and rear cross-path warning.

The Q60 comes with a full 4-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The LC’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 10,000 miles sooner.

The Q60’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the LC’s (7 vs. 6 years).

The Q60 Red Sport 400’s standard 3.0 turbo V6 produces 46 more horsepower (400 vs. 354) than the LC 500h’s standard 3.5 DOHC V6 hybrid.

All wheel drive, available in the Q60, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Lexus LC is not available with all wheel drive.

The Q60 stops shorter than the LC:

For better traction, the Q60 has larger standard tires than the LC (255/40R19 vs. 245/45R20). The Q60 Red Sport 400’s front tires are larger than the largest tires available on the LC (F:255/35R20 & R:275/30R20 vs. F:245/45R20 & R:275/40R20).

The Q60’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the LC’s standard 45 series front tires. The Q60 Red Sport 400’s 255/35R20 front and 275/30R20 rear tires have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile than the LC’s optional 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

The Q60 has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The LC doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The Infiniti Q60 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 500 to 600 pounds less than the Lexus LC.

The Q60 is 3 inches shorter than the LC, making the Q60 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

To almost totally eliminate engine vibration in the passenger area, the Q60 has liquid-filled engine mounts. The liquid helps further dampen engine harshness. The LC uses conventional solid rubber engine mounts.

The design of the Infiniti Q60 amounts to more than styling. The Q60 offers aerodynamic coefficients of drag from .28 to .29 Cd (depending on bodystyle and options). That is significantly lower than the LC (.33 to .34). A more efficient exterior helps the Q60 go faster and keeps the interior quieter. It also helps the Q60 get better fuel mileage.

The Q60 has .7 inches more front headroom, 1.1 inches more front legroom, 2.3 inches more rear headroom, 4.2 inches more rear hip room and 3.1 inches more rear shoulder room than the LC.

The Q60 has a much larger trunk than the LC (8.7 vs. 5.4 cubic feet).

The Q60’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The LC doesn’t offer folding rear seats.

The LC’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Q60 Red Sport 400’s optional adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

To shield the driver’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side window, the Q60 has a standard extendable sun visor. The LC doesn’t offer extendable visors.

When the Q60 with available tilt-down mirrors is put in reverse, both rearview mirrors tilt from their original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirrors into their original positions. The LC’s mirrors don’t automatically adjust for backing.

For greater rear passenger comfort, the Q60 has standard rear heat vents to keep rear occupants more comfortable. The LC doesn’t offer rear vents.

IntelliChoice estimates that five-year ownership costs (depreciation, financing, insurance, fuel, fees, repairs and maintenance) for the Infiniti Q60 will be $20684 to $41094 less than for the Lexus LC.
