The GT has standard SYNC®, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to get turn-by-turn driving directions or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The SF90 doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the GT and the SF90 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and available rearview cameras.

The GT’s corrosion warranty is 2 years longer than the SF90’s (5 vs. 3 years).

There are over 81 times as many Ford dealers as there are Ferrari dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the GT’s warranty.

The SF90’s redline is at 8000 RPM, which causes more engine wear, and a greater chance of a catastrophic engine failure. The GT has a 7000 RPM redline.

The GT has a standard “limp home system” to keep drivers from being stranded if most or all of the engine’s coolant is lost. The engine will run on only half of its cylinders at a time, reduce its power and light a warning lamp on the dashboard so the driver can get to a service station for repairs. The SF90 doesn’t offer a lost coolant limp home mode, so a coolant leak could strand you or seriously damage the car’s engine.

The GT has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The SF90 doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The GT has standard heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The SF90 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The GT has standard air brakes, which adjust the rear spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The SF90 doesn’t offer air brakes.

For better traction and acceleration, the GT has larger rear tires than the SF90 (325/30R20 vs. 315/30R20).

The GT has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The SF90 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the GT’s wheelbase is 2.4 inches longer than on the SF90 (106.7 inches vs. 104.3 inches).

The GT handles at 1.11 G’s, while the SF90 Assetto Fiorano Coupe pulls only 1.07 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The GT (except Competition Series) uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The SF90 doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

The GT’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The SF90’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.

The GT was chosen as one of Automobile Magazine’s “All Stars” in 2018. The SF90 has never been an “All Star.”
