In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the EV6 are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The Revero doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

The EV6 has standard Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The Revero has a collision warning system without the crash-mitigating brake feature that could reduce stopping distances.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The EV6 offers optional Parking Collision-Avoidance Reverse that uses rear sensors to monitor and automatically apply the brakes to prevent a rear collision. The Revero doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

The EV6 has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Revero doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The EV6’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Revero doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

The EV6 has standard 911 Connect, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Revero doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the EV6 and the Revero have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, collision warning systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

There are almost 35 times as many Kia dealers as there are Karma dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the EV6’s warranty.

The EV6’s maximum EPA estimated driving range is 232 to 310 miles on a full charge. The Revero can only travel 54 to 61 miles before it has to start its internal combustion engine.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Kia EV6 higher (10 out of 10) than the Karma Revero (7). This means the EV6 produces up to 11.8 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Revero every 15,000 miles.

For better maneuverability, the EV6’s turning circle is 2.2 feet tighter than the Revero’s (38.2 feet vs. 40.4 feet).

The Kia EV6 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 500 to 1050 pounds less than the Karma Revero.

The EV6 is 1 foot, 3.1 inches shorter than the Revero, making the EV6 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The EV6 has standard seating for 5 passengers; the Revero can only carry 4.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the EV6’s rear seats recline. The Revero’s rear seats don’t recline.

To allow full utilization of available cargo room, the EV6’s cargo door uses gas strut supported hinges that don’t intrude into the cargo area. Its intrusive beam hinge reduces the Revero’s useful trunk space.

To make loading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, just waiting momentarily behind the back bumper can open the EV6’s liftgate, leaving your hands completely free. The Revero doesn’t offer a hands-free gesture to open its trunk, forcing you to put cargo down if your hands are full.

The EV6 offers up to a 2300 lbs. towing capacity. The Revero has no towing capacity.

The EV6 offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Revero doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The EV6’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The Revero’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the EV6 detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The Revero doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the EV6 has a standard Smart Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Revero doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Kia EV6 has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The Revero doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The EV6 (except Light)’s optional Smart Parking Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote Smart Parking Assist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Revero doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
