J.D. Power ranks Mazda 14th in reliability. With 6 more problems per 100 vehicles, Audi is ranked 20th.

On the EPA test cycle the MX-5 Miata gets better mileage than the TT Roadster:

To lower fuel costs and make buying fuel easier, the Mazda MX-5 Miata uses regular unleaded gasoline (premium recommended for maximum performance). The TT requires premium, which can cost 20 to 55 cents more per gallon.

The MX-5 Miata stops shorter than the TT:

The MX-5 Miata has standard front and rear gas-charged shocks for better control over choppy roads. The TT’s suspension doesn’t offer rear gas-charged shocks.

The MX-5 Miata’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (51% to 49%) than the TT’s (60.7% to 39.3%). This gives the MX-5 Miata more stable handling and braking.

The MX-5 Miata’s standard power windows have a locking feature to keep children from operating them. Audi does not offer a locking feature on the TT’s standard power windows.

Consumer Reports rated the MX-5 Miata’s headlight performance “Good,” a higher rating than the TT’s headlights, which were rated “Fair.”

The TT’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The MX-5 Miata Grand Touring’s standard adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.
