The AMG GLC’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Urus doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The AMG GLC has a standard blind spot warning system which uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. A system to reveal vehicles in the Urus’ blind spot costs extra.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the AMG GLC has a standard rear cross-path warning system, which uses sensors in the rear bumper to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. Rear cross-path warning costs extra on the Urus.

The AMG GLC’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Urus doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

The AMG GLC has standard Mercedes-Benz Emergency Call, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in, help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Urus doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the AMG GLC and the Urus have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, rearview cameras, available lane departure warning systems and around view monitors.

There are over 10 times as many Mercedes dealers as there are Lamborghini dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the AMG GLC’s warranty.

On the EPA test cycle the AMG GLC 43 gets better fuel mileage than the Urus (18 city/25 hwy vs. 12 city/17 hwy).

In heavy traffic or at stop lights the AMG GLC’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Urus doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Mercedes AMG GLC higher (5 out of 10) than the Lamborghini Urus (3). This means the AMG GLC produces up to 16.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Urus every 15,000 miles.

A nine-speed automatic is standard on the Mercedes AMG GLC, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the Urus.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the AMG GLC can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Urus doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The AMG GLC’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The Urus doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

The AMG GLC’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (54% to 46%) than the Urus’ (56% to 44%). This gives the AMG GLC more stable handling and braking.

The Mercedes AMG GLC may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 700 pounds less than the Lamborghini Urus.

The AMG GLC is 1 foot, 5.8 inches shorter than the Urus, making the AMG GLC easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

Optional Trailer Stability Assist on the AMG GLC uses the Electronic Stability Program sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Urus doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

The AMG GLC has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Urus doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The AMG GLC’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Urus’

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the AMG GLC to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Urus doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the AMG GLC has a standard rear wiper. The Urus doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Mercedes AMG GLC offers an optional wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The Urus doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The AMG GLC has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The Urus doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.

The AMG GLC’s Active Parking Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting and stopping automatically, with the driver only responsible for switching from reverse to drive. The Urus doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
