The GLC Coupe will cost the buyer less in the long run because of its superior resale value. The IntelliChoice estimates that the GLC Coupe will retain 52.83% of its original price after five years, while the X6 only retains 46.32% to 49.01%.

According to The Car Book by Jack Gillis, the GLC Coupe is less expensive to operate than the X6 because it costs $45 less to do the manufacturer’s suggested maintenance for 50,000 miles. Typical repairs cost much less on the GLC Coupe than the X6, including $334 less for a water pump, $844 less for a muffler, $4 less for front brake pads, $277 less for a fuel pump, $7 less for front struts, $447 less for a timing belt/chain and $1088 less for a power steering pump.
