Safety
Warranty
The DB11 comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The S-Class Cabriolet’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
The DB11’s corrosion warranty is 5 years longer than the S-Class Cabriolet’s (10 vs. 5 years).
Engine
The DB11 V8’s standard 4.0 turbo V8 produces 65 more horsepower (528 vs. 463) than the S-Class Cabriolet’s 4.0 turbo V8. The DB11 AMR’s standard 5.2 turbo V12 produces 167 more horsepower (630 vs. 463) than the S-Class Cabriolet’s 4.0 turbo V8.

For better traction, the DB11 has larger tires than the S-Class Cabriolet (F:255/40R20 & R:295/35R20 vs. F:245/45R19 & R:275/40R19).
The DB11’s 255/40R20 front and 295/35R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series front and 35 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the S 560 Cabriolet’s standard 45 series front and 40 series rear tires.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the DB11 has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the S 560 Cabriolet.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the DB11 is 1.6 inches wider in the front than on the S-Class Cabriolet.
Chassis
The Aston Martin DB11 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 650 to 900 pounds less than the Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet.

Cargo Capacity
The DB11 Volante has a much larger trunk with its top down than the S-Class Cabriolet with its top down (8.5 vs. 6.9 cubic feet).
