The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer pretensioners for the rear seat belts.

A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The WRX Limited SPT/GT has standard Reverse Automatic Braking that uses rear sensors to monitor and automatically apply the brakes to prevent a rear collision. The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

The WRX has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the WRX and the Giulia Quadrifoglio have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems and rear cross-path warning.

Subaru’s powertrain warranty covers the WRX 1 year and 10,000 miles longer than Alfa Romeo covers the Giulia Quadrifoglio. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the Giulia Quadrifoglio ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

There are over 4 times as many Subaru dealers as there are Alfa Romeo dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the WRX’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2021 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Subaru vehicles are better in initial quality than Alfa Romeo vehicles. With 22 fewer problems per 100 vehicles, JD Power ranks Subaru higher than Alfa Romeo.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2022 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Subaru vehicles are more reliable than Alfa Romeo With 19 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Subaru higher than Alfa Romeo.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ January 2021 Auto Issue reports that Subaru vehicles are more reliable than Alfa Romeo vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Subaru 21 places higher in reliability than Alfa Romeo.

The flat cylinder configuration of the boxer engine in the WRX lowers its center of gravity, enhancing handling stability (That’s why Porsche uses boxer engines.). The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer a boxer engine configuration.

On the EPA test cycle the WRX gets better mileage than the Giulia Quadrifoglio:

The WRX has 1.3 gallons more fuel capacity than the Giulia Quadrifoglio (16.6 vs. 15.3 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Subaru WRX may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 300 to 500 pounds less than the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.

The WRX has 3.5 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Giulia Quadrifoglio (98.9 vs. 95.4).
