Both the F-Pace and NX Series have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The F-Pace has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The NX Series’ child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the F-Pace. But it costs extra on the NX Series.

Both the F-Pace and the NX Series have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The F-Pace comes with a full 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The NX Series’ 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 10,000 miles sooner.

Jaguar pays for scheduled maintenance on the F-Pace for 4 years and 50,000 miles longer than Lexus pays for maintenance for the NX Series (5/60,000 vs. 1/10,000).

To reliably start during all conditions and help handle large electrical loads, the F-Pace has a standard 800-amp battery. The NX Series’ 580-amp battery isn’t as powerful.

The battery on the F-Pace is in the trunk, which protects it from hot underhood temperatures that can degrade battery life. By keeping the F-Pace’s battery 20 to 30 degrees cooler, its life is increased by years. The NX Series’ battery is in the hot engine compartment.

Regardless of its engine, regenerative brakes improve the F-Pace’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. Lexus only offers a regenerative brake system on the NX Series 300h.

Regardless of its engine, the F-Pace’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. Lexus only offers an automatic engine start/stop system on the NX Series 300h.

The F-Pace has 7.1 gallons more fuel capacity than the NX Series Hybrid’s standard fuel tank (21.9 vs. 14.8 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups. The F-Pace has 6 gallons more fuel capacity than the NX Series’ standard fuel tank (21.9 vs. 15.9 gallons).

An eight-speed automatic is standard on the Jaguar F-Pace, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a six-speed automatic is available for the NX Series.

For better stopping power the F-Pace’s brake rotors are larger than those on the NX Series:

For better traction, the F-Pace has larger standard tires than the NX Series (255/55R19 vs. 225/65R17). The F-Pace SVR’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the NX Series (F:265/45R21 & R:295/40R21 vs. 235/55R18).

The F-Pace’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 55 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the NX Series’ standard 65 series tires. The F-Pace SVR’s optional 265/40R22 front and 295/35R22 rear tires have a lower 40 series front and 35 series rear profile than the NX Series F Sport’s 55 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the F-Pace has standard 19-inch wheels. Smaller 17-inch wheels are standard on the NX Series. The F-Pace’s optional 22-inch wheels are larger than the 18-inch wheels optional on the NX Series.

The F-Pace offers an optional full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the NX Series; it requires you to depend on a temporary spare, which limits mileage and speed before replacement.

The F-Pace uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The NX Series doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the F-Pace to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The NX Series doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

The F-Pace has standard heated front seats. Heated front seats cost extra on the NX Series. The F-Pace S/R-Dynamic/SVR also offers optional heated rear seats to keep those passengers extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated rear seats aren’t available in the NX Series.

The F-Pace R-Dynamic offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the NX Series.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Jaguar F-Pace has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The NX Series doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The F-Pace S/R-Dynamic/SVR’s optional Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The NX Series doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
