To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the F-Pace has a standard rear cross-path warning system, which uses sensors in the rear bumper to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. Both the F-Pace and the Range Rover Sport have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras and available around view monitors.

The F-Pace comes with a full 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Range Rover Sport’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 10,000 miles sooner.

Jaguar pays for scheduled maintenance on the F-Pace for 5 years and 60,000 miles. Jaguar will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Land Rover only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the Range Rover Sport.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2021 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Jaguar vehicles are better in initial quality than Land Rover vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Jaguar 19th in initial quality. With 35 more problems per 100 vehicles, Land Rover is ranked 26th.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2021 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Jaguar vehicles are more reliable than Land Rover vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Jaguar 31st in reliability. With 58 more problems per 100 vehicles, Land Rover is ranked 33rd.

Both the F-Pace and the Range Rover Sport have a standard automatic start/stop engine feature to stop unnecessary fuel waste and pollution at stoplights and heavy traffic. All F-Paces have a standard disable switch for the system, so a driver can keep the engine from shutting off when the vehicle stops temporarily. The Range Rover Sport P360/P400 doesn’t offer a way to disable start/stop.

All F-Paces offer an optional full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare is not available on the Range Rover Sport 7-Passenger/P400e Without it you must depend on a temporary spare, which has mileage and speed limitations, or roadside assistance and a tow-truck.

The F-Pace handles at .88 G’s, while the Range Rover Sport HSE pulls only .78 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The F-Pace SVR executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.6 seconds quicker than the Range Rover Sport HSE (25 seconds @ .77 average G’s vs. 27.6 seconds @ .62 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the F-Pace’s turning circle is 1.5 feet tighter than the Range Rover Sport’s (39.2 feet vs. 40.7 feet).

The Jaguar F-Pace may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 850 to 1050 pounds less than the Land Rover Range Rover Sport.

The F-Pace is 5.2 inches shorter than the Range Rover Sport, making the F-Pace easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The F-Pace uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.
