The Bentayga comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Q8’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
Reliability
The battery on the Bentayga is under the floor, which protects it from hot underhood temperatures that can degrade battery life. By keeping the Bentayga’s battery 20 to 30 degrees cooler, its life is increased by years. The Q8’s battery is in the hot engine compartment.
A reliable vehicle saves its owner time, money and trouble. Nobody wants to be stranded or have to be without a vehicle while it’s being repaired. Consumer Reports rates the Bentayga’s reliability 22 points higher than the Q8.

Fuel Economy and Range
An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Bentayga’s fuel efficiency. The Q8 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Bentayga offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. Suspension and Handling
The Bentayga offers active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Q8 doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.
The front and rear suspension of the Bentayga uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Q8, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.
The Bentayga offers an available active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Audi doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Q8.
The Bentayga has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Bentayga’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Q8 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.
The Bentayga SPEED handles at .93 G’s, while the Q8 Prestige pulls only .83 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.
The Bentayga SPEED executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.3 seconds quicker than the Q8 Prestige (24.6 seconds @ .79 average G’s vs. 26.9 seconds @ .69 average G’s).
For better maneuverability, the Bentayga SPEED’s turning circle is 4.5 feet tighter than the Q8’s (39 feet vs. 43.5 feet). The Bentayga’s turning circle is 2.9 feet tighter than the Q8’s (40.6 feet vs. 43.5 feet).
For greater off-road capability the Bentayga has a 3.9 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Q8 (9.7 vs. 5.8 inches), allowing the Bentayga to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.
Chassis
The Bentayga is 67.2 inches shorter in height than the Q8, making the Bentayga much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

Towing
Standard Trailer Sway Mitigation on the Bentayga uses the Electronic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Q8 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.
Ergonomics
Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Bentayga to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Q8 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.
Optional air conditioned the front and second row seats keep the Bentayga’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The Q8 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.
The Bentayga has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the Q8.
Both the Bentayga and the Q8 offer available massaging front seats. The Bentayga also offers optional massaging second row seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the Q8.
To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Bentley Bentayga has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) on the dashboard. Wireless charging costs extra on the Q8.
The Bentayga’s Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The Q8 doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
