For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Maserati Quattroporte are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. The Quattroporte’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The 7 Series doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

For better maneuverability, the Quattroporte’s turning circle is 3.3 feet tighter than the 740i’s (38.7 feet vs. 42 feet). The Quattroporte’s turning circle is 3.7 feet tighter than the 7 Series xDrive’s (38.7 feet vs. 42.4 feet).

The Quattroporte has a much larger trunk than the 7 Series (18.7 vs. 14 cubic feet).

The Quattroporte’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The 7 Series doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.
