The MC20’s optional blind spot warning system uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. The Huracán doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the MC20’s optional rear cross-path warning system uses sensors in the rear bumper to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The Huracán doesn’t offer a cross-path warning system.

The MC20 has standard Maserati Connect, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Huracán doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the MC20 and the Huracán have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

There are over 3 times as many Maserati dealers as there are Lamborghini dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the MC20’s warranty.

The MC20’s 3.0 turbo V6 produces 19 more horsepower (621 vs. 602) and 125 lbs.-ft. more torque (538 vs. 413) than the Huracán Evo’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10. The MC20’s 3.0 turbo V6 produces 95 lbs.-ft. more torque (538 vs. 443) than the Huracán Evo’s optional 5.2 DOHC V10. The MC20’s 3.0 turbo V6 produces 121 lbs.-ft. more torque (538 vs. 417) than the Huracán STO’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10.

On the EPA test cycle the MC20 gets better mileage than the Huracán:

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Maserati MC20 higher (5 out of 10) than the Lamborghini Huracán (1). This means the MC20 produces up to 39 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Huracán every 15,000 miles.

An eight-speed automatic (SMG) is standard on the Maserati MC20, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a seven-speed automatic is available for the Huracán.

In an emergency stopping situation, many drivers don’t press the brakes with enough force to stop the vehicle in the shortest distance. The MC20 has a standard brake assist system to detect emergency braking situations (by how hard and how quickly the brake pedal is pressed) and then automatically apply maximum braking immediately in order to help prevent a collision. The Huracán doesn’t offer a brake assist feature.

The MC20 stops shorter than the Huracán:

The MC20’s 305/30R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Huracán’s standard 35 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the MC20 has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Huracán.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the MC20’s wheelbase is 3.2 inches longer than on the Huracán (106.3 inches vs. 103.1 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the MC20 is .5 inches wider in the front and 1.1 inches wider in the rear than on the Huracán.

The MC20 Coupe handles at 1.08 G’s, while the Huracán Coupe AWD pulls only 1.01 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The MC20 Coupe has a much larger trunk than the Huracán Coupe (5.3 vs. 3.5 cubic feet).

A maintenance reminder system is standard on the MC20 to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. Lamborghini doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the Huracán.

The MC20 has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Huracán doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The MC20’s standard easy entry system glides the driver’s seat back, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The Huracán doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

The MC20’s front power windows open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Huracán’s power windows’ switches have to be held the entire time to close them fully.

The MC20’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Huracán’s manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the MC20 detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The Huracán doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

The MC20’s standard rear view mirror and optional side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Huracán offers an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.

To help keep the driver’s hands on the wheel, the MC20 has standard steering wheel controls for the radio. The Huracán doesn’t offer steering wheel audio controls.
