Compare the2022 Porsche 911VS 2021 Rolls-Royce Wraith

The 911 (except GT3) has standard Warn and Brake Assist, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The Wraith doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The 911 offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Wraith doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The 911’s optional blind spot warning system uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. The Wraith doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the 911’s optional rear cross-path warning system uses sensors in the rear bumper to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The Wraith doesn’t offer a cross-path warning system.

Both the 911 and the Wraith have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available night vision systems, lane departure warning systems and around view monitors.

The 911’s corrosion warranty is 8 years longer than the Wraith’s (12 vs. 4 years).

There are over 5 times as many Porsche dealers as there are Rolls-Royce dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the 911’s warranty.

The 911 Turbo S’ 3.7 turbo 6-cylinder produces 49 more horsepower (640 vs. 591) than the Wraith Black Label’s optional 6.6 turbo V12.

The flat cylinder configuration of the boxer engine in the 911 lowers its center of gravity, enhancing handling stability. The Wraith doesn’t offer a boxer engine configuration.

On the EPA test cycle the 911 Coupe gets better mileage than the Wraith:

In heavy traffic or at stop lights the 911’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Wraith doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The 911’s optional fuel tank has 1.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the Wraith (23.7 vs. 21.9 gallons).

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Porsche 911 higher (5 out of 10) than the Rolls-Royce Wraith (3). This means the 911 produces up to 16.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Wraith every 15,000 miles.

The 911 offers a manual transmission for better acceleration, control and fuel economy. The Wraith doesn’t offer a manual transmission.

The 911 offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The Wraith doesn’t offer an SMG.

All wheel drive, available in the 911, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Rolls-Royce Wraith is not available with all wheel drive.

The 911’s optional launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Wraith doesn’t offer launch control.

For better stopping power the 911 Turbo S’ front brake rotors are larger than those on the Wraith:

The 911 offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Wraith doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction and acceleration, the 911 has larger standard rear tires than the Wraith (295/35R20 vs. 285/35R21). The 911 Turbo S/GT3’s rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the Wraith (315/30R21 vs. 285/35R21).

The 911’s standard 235/40R19 front and 295/35R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series front and 35 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Wraith’s standard 45 series front and 40 series rear tires. The 911’s optional 245/35R20 front and 305/30R21 rear tires have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile than the Wraith’s optional 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

The 911 (except Base/GT3) offers active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Wraith doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

For better maneuverability, the 911 GT3’s turning circle is 7.6 feet tighter than the Wraith’s (34.1 feet vs. 41.7 feet). The 911’s turning circle is 4.9 feet tighter than the Wraith’s (36.8 feet vs. 41.7 feet).

The Porsche 911 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1600 to 2250 pounds less than the Rolls-Royce Wraith.

The 911 is 2 feet, 6.2 inches shorter than the Wraith, making the 911 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The 911 is 8.9 inches shorter in height than the Wraith, making the 911 much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

For excellent aerodynamics, the 911 has standard flush composite headlights. The Wraith has recessed headlights that spoil its aerodynamic shape and create extra drag.

The front grille of the 911 uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Wraith doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The 911’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Wraith doesn’t offer folding rear seats.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the 911 (except Cabriolet/GT3) offers an optional rear wiper. The Wraith doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

The 911 (except Manual/GT3)’s optional Active Parking Support can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote ParkAssist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Wraith doesn’t offer an automated parking system.

The Porsche 911 comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Rolls-Royce Wraith isn’t available as a convertible.
