Compare the2022 Infiniti QX60VS 2022 Chrysler Pacifica

The QX60 Sensory/Autograph’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Pacifica doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The QX60 Autograph has a standard front seat center airbag, which deploys between the driver and front passenger, protecting them from injuries caused by striking each other in serious side impacts. The Pacifica doesn’t offer front seat center airbags.

The QX60 Luxe/Sensory/Autograph’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Pacifica doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the QX60 and the Pacifica have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front wheel drive, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, available all wheel drive and around view monitors.

The QX60 comes with a full 4-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Pacifica’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 24,000 miles sooner.

Infiniti’s powertrain warranty covers the QX60 1 year and 10,000 miles longer than Chrysler covers the Pacifica. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the Pacifica ends after only 5 years or 60,000 miles.

The QX60’s corrosion warranty is 2 years longer than the Pacifica’s (7 vs. 5 years).

A reliable vehicle saves its owner time, money and trouble. Nobody wants to be stranded or have to be without a vehicle while it’s being repaired. Consumer Reports rates the QX60’s reliability 12 points higher than the Pacifica.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2021 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Infiniti vehicles are better in initial quality than Chrysler vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Infiniti 21st in initial quality. With 81 more problems per 100 vehicles, Chrysler is ranked 33rd.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2021 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Infiniti vehicles are more reliable than Chrysler vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Infiniti 23rd in reliability. With 29 more problems per 100 vehicles, Chrysler is ranked 29th.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ January 2021 Auto Issue reports that Infiniti vehicles are more reliable than Chrysler vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Infiniti 8 places higher in reliability than Chrysler.

The QX60’s standard 3.5 DOHC V6 produces 35 more horsepower (295 vs. 260) than the Pacifica Hybrid’s standard 3.6 DOHC V6 hybrid. The QX60’s 3.5 DOHC V6 produces 8 more horsepower (295 vs. 287) and 8 lbs.-ft. more torque (270 vs. 262) than the Pacifica’s standard 3.6 DOHC V6.

As tested in Motor Trend the Infiniti QX60 is faster than the Chrysler Pacifica:

The QX60’s standard front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs on the Pacifica are solid, not vented.

The QX60 stops shorter than the Pacifica:

For better traction, the QX60 has larger tires than the Pacifica (255/50R20 vs. 235/65R17). The QX60 Luxe/Sensory/Autograph’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Pacifica (255/50R20 vs. 245/50R20).

The QX60’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 60 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Pacifica’s standard 65 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the QX60 has standard 18-inch wheels. Smaller 17-inch wheels are standard on the Pacifica.

The QX60 has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Pacifica doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The QX60 has standard front and rear stabilizer bars, which help keep the QX60 flat and controlled during cornering. The Pacifica 4x2 suspension doesn’t offer a rear stabilizer bar.

For better maneuverability, the QX60’s turning circle is 1.6 feet tighter than the Pacifica’s (38.1 feet vs. 39.7 feet). The QX60’s turning circle is 2.1 feet tighter than the Pacifica AWD’s (38.1 feet vs. 40.2 feet).

The QX60 is 6.1 inches shorter than the Pacifica, making the QX60 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The QX60 has .7 inches more front headroom and 1 inch more front legroom than the Pacifica.

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Infiniti service is better than Chrysler. J.D. Power ranks Infiniti third in service department satisfaction. With a 69% lower rating, Chrysler is ranked 29th.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Pacifica Touring L/Limited/Pinnacle, the QX60 Sensory/Autograph has a passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position (with optional power wheel adjuster), outside mirror angle, climate settings and radio stations and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The QX60 (except Pure) offers an available heads-up display that projects speed in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Pacifica doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The QX60’s front and rear power windows all open or close fully with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside the car. The Pacifica’s standard rear power window switches have to be held the entire time to open them fully. Only its driver’s window closes automatically.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the QX60 offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The Pacifica doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The QX60 Sensory/Autograph has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Pacifica.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Infiniti QX60 Sensory/Autograph has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The Pacifica doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.
