The Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400 has standard Back-up Collision Intervention that uses rear sensors to monitor and automatically apply the brakes to prevent a rear collision. The 911 doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

Both the Q60 and the 911 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available all-wheel drive, crash mitigating brakes, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The Q60 comes with a full 4-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The 911’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 10,000 miles sooner.

Infiniti’s powertrain warranty covers the Q60 2 years and 20,000 miles longer than Porsche covers the 911. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the 911 ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

On the EPA test cycle the Q60 gets better mileage than the 911 Coupe:

The Q60 has 3.1 gallons more fuel capacity than the 911’s standard fuel tank (20 vs. 16.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better traction, the Q60 has larger standard tires than the 911 (255/40R19 vs. 235/40R19).

The Q60 has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The 911 doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Q60 can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The 911 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Q60’s wheelbase is 15.7 inches longer than on the 911 (112.2 inches vs. 96.5 inches).

The Q60’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (55% to 45%) than the 911’s (39.5% to 60.5%). This gives the Q60 more stable handling and braking.

The design of the Infiniti Q60 amounts to more than styling. The Q60 offers aerodynamic coefficients of drag from .28 to .29 Cd (depending on bodystyle and options). That is lower than the 911 (.31 to .33). A more efficient exterior helps the Q60 go faster and keeps the interior quieter. It also helps the Q60 get better fuel mileage.

The Q60 Luxe/Sport/Red Sport 400 uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The 911 doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

Because it has more passenger and cargo room, the EPA rates the Q60 a Subcompact car, while the 911 Coupe is rated a Minicompact.

The Q60 has 12.4 cubic feet more passenger volume than the 911 (85.4 vs. 73).

The Q60 has .9 inches more front legroom, 2 inches more front shoulder room, 2 inches more rear headroom, 5.2 inches more rear legroom and 4.1 inches more rear shoulder room than the 911.

The Q60 has a much larger trunk than the 911 Coupe with its rear seat up (8.7 vs. 4.6 cubic feet).

With its coupe body style, valet key, locking rear seatbacks and remote trunk release lockout, the Q60 offers cargo security. The 911’s non-lockable folding seat defeats cargo security.

The Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400 has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The 911 doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The Q60’s standard power windows have a locking feature to keep children from operating them. Porsche does not offer a locking feature on the 911’s power windows.

If the windows are left open on the Q60 the driver can close them all at the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows at the outside door handle or from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the 911 can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

To shield the driver’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side window, the Q60 has a standard extendable sun visor. The 911 doesn’t offer extendable visors.
