The Q60 comes with a full 4-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The 718 Cayman’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 10,000 miles sooner.

Infiniti’s powertrain warranty covers the Q60 2 years and 20,000 miles longer than Porsche covers the 718 Cayman. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the 718 Cayman ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

To reliably power the ignition and other systems and to recharge the battery, the Q60 has a standard 150-amp alternator (170-amp - Q60 Red Sport 400). The 718 Cayman’s 120-amp alternator isn’t as powerful.

To reliably start during all conditions and help handle large electrical loads, the Q60 has a standard 600-amp battery. The 718 Cayman’s 340-amp battery isn’t as powerful.

The Q60 has 5.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the 718 Cayman’s standard fuel tank (20 vs. 14.2 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups. The Q60 has 3.1 gallons more fuel capacity than the 718 Cayman’s optional fuel tank (20 vs. 16.9 gallons).

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Infiniti Q60 higher (3 out of 10) than the Porsche 718 Cayman (1). This means the Q60 produces up to 22.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the 718 Cayman every 15,000 miles.

The Infiniti Q60 comes standard with an automatic transmission, for driver comfort, especially in the city. Automatic costs extra on the 718 Cayman.

This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The 718 Cayman doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The Q60’s standard power windows have a locking feature to keep children from operating them. Porsche does not offer a locking feature on the 718 Cayman’s power windows.

If the windows are left open on the Q60 the driver can close them all at the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows at the outside door handle or from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the 718 Cayman can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Q60’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The 718 Cayman’s cruise control switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

To shield the driver’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side window, the Q60 has a standard extendable sun visor. The 718 Cayman doesn’t offer extendable visors.
