The Q60 Red Sport 400’s optional pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The TT doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400 has standard Forward Emergency Braking, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The TT doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400 has standard Back-up Collision Intervention that uses rear sensors to monitor and automatically apply the brakes to prevent a rear collision. The TT doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

The Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane. The TT doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

The Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400 has a standard Around View® Monitor to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The TT only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400’s standard rear cross-path warning system uses sensors in the rear bumper to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The TT doesn’t offer a cross-path warning system.

Both the Q60 and the TT have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available all-wheel drive and blind spot warning systems.

The Q60 comes with a full 4-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The TT’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 10,000 miles sooner.

Infiniti’s powertrain warranty covers the Q60 2 years and 20,000 miles longer than Audi covers the TT. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the TT ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

To reliably power the ignition and other systems and to recharge the battery, the Q60 has a standard 150-amp alternator (170-amp - Q60 Red Sport 400). The TT’s 140-amp alternator isn’t as powerful.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2021 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Infiniti vehicles are better in initial quality than Audi vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Infiniti 21st in initial quality. With 70 more problems per 100 vehicles, Audi is ranked 32nd.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ January 2021 Auto Issue reports that Infiniti vehicles are more reliable than Audi vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Infiniti 3 places higher in reliability than Audi.

The Q60 has 5.5 gallons more fuel capacity than the TT (20 vs. 14.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the Q60’s standard brake rotors are larger than those on the TT:

The Q60’s standard front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs standard on the TT 45 TSFI are solid, not vented.

For better traction, the Q60 has larger standard tires than the TT (255/40R19 vs. 245/40R18).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Q60 has standard 19-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the TT 45 TSFI.

The Q60 has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The TT doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Q60 can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The TT doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Q60’s wheelbase is 13.6 inches longer than on the TT (112.2 inches vs. 98.6 inches).

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the Q60 is 1.2 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the TT.

The Q60’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (55% to 45%) than the TT’s (60.7% to 39.3%). This gives the Q60 more stable handling and braking.

The design of the Infiniti Q60 amounts to more than styling. The Q60 offers aerodynamic coefficients of drag from .28 to .29 Cd (depending on bodystyle and options). That is significantly lower than the TT (.32 to .355). A more efficient exterior helps the Q60 go faster and keeps the interior quieter. It also helps the Q60 get better fuel mileage.

The Q60 Luxe/Sport/Red Sport 400 uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The TT doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

The Q60 has 11.4 cubic feet more passenger volume than the TT (85.4 vs. 74).

The Q60 has .8 inches more front headroom, 2 inches more front legroom, 1 inch more front shoulder room, .7 inches more rear headroom, 3.5 inches more rear legroom and 4.1 inches more rear shoulder room than the TT Coupe.

With its coupe body style, valet key, locking rear seatbacks and remote trunk release lockout, the Q60 offers cargo security. The TT’s non-lockable folding seat and non-lockable remote release defeat cargo security.

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Infiniti service is better than Audi. J.D. Power ranks Infiniti third in service department satisfaction. With a 25% lower rating, Audi is ranked 12th.

The Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400 has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The TT doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

When two different drivers share the Q60, the optional memory system makes it convenient for both. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver’s seat position, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle. The TT doesn’t offer a memory system.

The Q60’s standard power windows have a locking feature to keep children from operating them. Audi does not offer a locking feature on the TT’s power windows.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400 detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The TT doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

The TT’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Q60 Red Sport 400’s optional adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

To shield the driver’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side window, the Q60 has a standard extendable sun visor. The TT doesn’t offer extendable visors.

On extremely cold winter days, the Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400’s standard heated steering wheel provides comfort, allowing the driver to steer safely and comfortably before the car heater warms up. The TT doesn’t offer a heated steering wheel.

The Q60’s standard dual zone air-conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The TT doesn’t offer dual zone air-conditioning.

For greater rear passenger comfort, the Q60 has standard rear heat vents to keep rear occupants more comfortable. The TT doesn’t offer rear vents.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Q60 Luxe/Red Sport 400 has a standard Intelligent Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The TT doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.

The Q60 is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The TT doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.

IntelliChoice estimates that five-year ownership costs (depreciation, financing, insurance, fuel, fees, repairs and maintenance) for the Infiniti Q60 will be $1188 to $1829 less than for the Audi TT.

The Infiniti Q60 outsold the Audi TT by almost three to one during the 2021 model year.
