Engine
The Corvette’s standard 6.2 V8 produces 190 more horsepower (490 vs. 300) and 170 lbs.-ft. more torque (465 vs. 295) than the Q60’s standard 3.0 turbo V6. The Corvette’s 6.2 V8 produces 90 more horsepower (490 vs. 400) and 115 lbs.-ft. more torque (465 vs. 350) than the Q60 Red Sport 400’s standard 3.0 turbo V6. The Corvette Z51’s standard 6.2 V8 produces 95 more horsepower (495 vs. 400) and 120 lbs.-ft. more torque (470 vs. 350) than the Q60 Red Sport 400’s standard 3.0 turbo V6.
As tested in Motor Trend the Corvette Z51 is faster than the Q60 Red Sport 400:

Fuel Economy and Range
An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Corvette’s fuel efficiency. The Q60 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.
The Corvette has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Q60 doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.
Transmission
An eight-speed automatic (SMG) is standard on the Chevrolet Corvette, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a seven-speed automatic is available for the Q60.
The Corvette offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The Q60 doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.
The Corvette’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Q60 doesn’t offer launch control.
Brakes and Stopping
The Corvette stops much shorter than the Q60:

Tires and Wheels
For better traction and acceleration, the Corvette has larger rear tires than the Q60 (305/30R20 vs. 255/40R19). The Corvette’s rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the Q60 (305/30R20 vs. 275/30R20).
The Corvette’s 245/35R19 front and 305/30R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Q60’s standard 40 series tires.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Corvette has standard 20-inch rear wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Q60.
Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the Corvette can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. Run-flat tires aren’t available on some tire packages on the Q60.
Suspension and Handling
For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Corvette is 3.7 inches wider in the front and .2 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the Q60.
The Corvette Coupe handles at 1.03 G’s, while the Q60 Red Sport 400 AWD pulls only .88 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.
The Corvette Coupe executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.2 seconds quicker than the Q60 Red Sport 400 (23.3 seconds @ .9 average G’s vs. 25.5 seconds @ .76 average G’s).
Chassis
The Chevrolet Corvette may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 200 to 400 pounds less than the Infiniti Q60.
The Corvette’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Q60 doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.
Passenger Space
The front step up height for the Corvette Coupe is 2.2 inches lower than the Q60 (13.8” vs. 16”).
Cargo Capacity
The Corvette Coupe has a much larger trunk than the Q60 (12.6 vs. 8.7 cubic feet).
Servicing Ease
The Corvette has a standard under hood light to help in making nighttime maintenance checks, adding fluids, etc. The Q60 doesn’t offer an under hood light.
Ergonomics
Unlike the driver-only memory system optional in the Q60, the Corvette offers an optional driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position, suspension setting and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.
The Corvette’s optional easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back when the door is unlocked or the ignition is switched off, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The Q60 doesn’t offer an easy entry system.
The Corvette’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Q60 does not have an oil pressure gauge.
The Corvette offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed, tachometer, turn signal and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Q60 doesn’t offer a heads-up display.
The Corvette’s power parking brake sets with one touch and releases with one touch or automatically. The Q60’s parking brake has to released manually.
Keyless Open and Start standard on the Corvette allows you to unlock the driver’s door, trunk and start the engine all without removing a key from pocket or purse. This eliminates searching for keys before loading groceries, getting in the vehicle in bad weather or making a hurried start to your trip. The Infiniti Q60’s Infiniti Intelligent Key doesn’t unlock the trunk.
Optional air-conditioned seats in the Corvette keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The Q60 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.
To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Chevrolet Corvette offers an optional wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The Q60 doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.
Model Availability
The Chevrolet Corvette comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Infiniti Q60 isn’t available as a convertible.
Economic Advantages
Insurance will cost less for the Corvette owner. The Complete Car Cost Guide estimates that insurance for the Corvette will cost $3965 to $11815 less than the Q60 over a five-year period.
The Corvette will cost the buyer less in the long run because of its superior resale value. The IntelliChoice estimates that the Corvette will retain 50.67% to 53.37% of its original price after five years, while the Q60 only retains 42.17% to 45.27%.
