If the windows are left open on the R8 the driver can close them all at the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the 570S can’t use the remote to operate the windows.
On a hot day the R8 Spyder has a standard remote opening feature, to lower the top from outside. The 570S doesn’t offer a remote top, so the driver will have to enter the car, turn the ignition on and lower the top.
While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the R8 detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The 570S doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.
To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the R8 has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The 570S doesn’t offer cornering lights.
The R8’s power mirror controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The 570S’ power mirror controls are on the dash where they are possibly hidden by the steering wheel and are awkward to manipulate.
The R8’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The 570S has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.
To help keep the driver’s hands on the wheel, the R8 has standard steering wheel controls for the radio. The 570S doesn’t offer steering wheel audio controls.
To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Audi R8 has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The 570S doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.
